On the weekend of October 20th, the New York State Eucharistic Congress held their annual event at Our Lady of the Martyrs Shrine in Auriesville, New York for more than 9,000 people. They retained Dan's Backyard BBQ LLC to provide catering and food services for the attendees during the weekend.
The weather mostly cooperated, and we were able to feed the hungry attendees throughout the weekend. Many thanks go out to Mark Ackermann, the event coordinator, and the dozens of volunteers and staff that helped make the weekend a success. The Shrine itself was spectacular and no doubt will hold more inspirational events in the future!
Because of the unique nature of the event, we created an efficient system to allow the attendees to pre-order food and have their meals waiting for them. Short time windows meant fast service was important so attendees could participate in the various functions during the weekend.
As a catering company, events like these hold a special place in our hearts. They remind us of the power of food to create meaningful connections and foster a sense of togetherness. We look forward to continuing our commitment to excellence and serving more communities in the future.
